WHITMAN - The North Attleboro High wrestling team won its second tourney title of the season on Saturday, taking the 15-team Panther Invite at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School.
The Rocketeers didn't have any individual weight-class winners in the varsity tourney, but had four wrestlers place second to lift North Attleboro to the team title as Brandon Graveline (126, 2-1, 1 pin), Matt Warsofsky (), Leo Thibeault (220, 2-1, two pins) and Jack Donahue (220, 2-1 two pins).
"The nice thing was that we cycled in seven new kids," said North Attleboro wrestling coach Wayne Griffin. "We gave some of our regular starters some time off to rest with the intention of gearing up for the second half of the season. It worked out really well in our behalf. They wrestled the North Attleboro way."
The Rocketeers posted 184 points to beat out second-place Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High (139), followed by Marshfield (134).
Scoring third-place finishes for the Rocketeers were Brady Folan (106), Jake Direnzo (113), Steven Abusherry (145), and Nick Morrison (182).
North Attleboro returns to the mat Wednesday at home against King Philip.
