WRENTHAM - The unbeaten North Attleboro High wrestling team extended its winning streak to 15 straight decisions with a 55-3 decision at King Philip Wednesday in a Hockomock League match.
Brady Folan (106), Jake DiRenzo (113), Devin Spratt (120) and Alex DeVito (126) all scored first period pins for the Rocketeers (15-0), who were 11-2 in takedowns.
In a meeting a postseason champions from 2015 at the 182-pound class, Rocketeer Nick Morrison delivered a stirring win on a 7-6 decision over KP's Nick DeGloria, an MIAA Sectional Meet champ as well.
In the 152-pound class, King Philip's Anthony Fruci, an MIAA Sectional Meet runner-up, provided the highlight for the Warriors, taking a hard-earned 3-2 decision over North's Collin Fiske, a South Sectional Meet champion.
"The competition in the upper- and middle-classes against KP was really good," said North Attleboro coach Wayne Griffin. "KP has some injuries right now and we caught them at a darn good time."
The Rocketeers engage at the Cumberland, R.I. Invitational Tournament on Saturday and then play host to coach Carmen Colace and the always powerful Franklin High Panthers in a battle for the Hockomock League championship.
