- Also in the Hockomock League, NORTH ATTLEBORO cruised to 9-0 with a 53-14 victory over Canton - with the emphasis on cruise. The Red Rocketeers won 11 weight classes, however, six of those wrestlers didn't have to break a sweat as they had forfeit wins. "They had some illness, had one boy in a car accident who couldn't compete," said North coach Wayne Griffin. "We have our own team bug going around, but we're fortunate to have a little more depth than the Canton team. The boys they did send out were down good, especially the boy at 113 and 160 was decent, too. Any other time of the year it would have been much more competitive."

Among the matches contested, North's Steve Hathaway needed just 27 seconds to get a pin at 106 pounds. Bobby Deveau (195 pounds), John David (132) and Mike Anderson (285) all had victories via pin.

The Rocketeers return to the matt for the two-day Marshfield Tournament, which starts next Tuesday.
